This battery works like they said it would. My sony HDR-SR7 needs the extra circuit this battery has for the time remaining function to work in the viewfinder. There are lots or replacement out there cheaper but they do not work like this on. These so called replacement batterys do not charge in the camcorder. You need there charger to charge them. This battery will charge in the camera or wall charger. Again the most important feature is the TIME REMAINING (minutes left) in the viewfinder. THANK YOU SterlingTek and amazon.com.
